♠♥ Application Guidelines ♣♦

This is an open submission zine, where all are welcome regardless of their experience or skill— but there are still some guidelines to help us keep everything running smoothly!

General Information⭑ Participants must be at least 14+ years old by the time the applications close.⭑ Artists will be expected to create one page, spread, or comic focusing on at least one member of Troupe Gramarye. Pieces must be fully rendered with an (at least simple) background, submitted in RGB color profile and 300 DPI in A5 format.⭑ Traditional artists will be expected to scan or photograph their pieces in high quality and correct speculations. No shadows, glares, or irregular lighting and cropping will be permitted.⭑ Merch artists will be expected to create at least one digital merch item focusing on at least one member of Troupe Gramarye. Pieces must be fully colored, except for coloring pages, submitted in RGB color profile and 300 DPI in sizing format that will vary on your assigned item.⭑ Writers will be expected to create one fully-contained fiction work of 1k to 3k words focusing on at least one member of Troupe Gramarye. Pieces must be titled and submitted as a document.Application Information⭑ All applicants must have a Discord account, as Discord will be our main method of communication as a zine group! Contributors are expected to regularly check the zine server, respond to any DMs from zine mods with relative punctuality.⭑ Discriminatory behavior, including but not limited to racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc., will not be tolerated. You will be rejected or removed from the project without hesitation.⭑ Plagiarism, as well as NFT and AI generative work, of any sort will not be tolerated.⭑ As this is a strictly SFW zine with minors involved, NSFW content will not be tolerated in any capacity. Provided social media, samples and portfolios, and any content within the server may not contain NSFW content. You will be rejected or removed from the project without hesitation.⭑ Applicants will be required to provide at least one complete sample of their work. Portfolios may also be included.⭑ Works of the Ace Attorney franchise are encouraged, but not required.⭑ Contributors will be expected to provide content warnings for any sensitive or potentially triggering content in their application or within the server.⭑ For those wanting to collaborate, all parties involved will be expected to name their collaboration partner(s) in their application. It is expected that they produce a finished piece for every collaboration partner; the way the work is shared will differ depending on pairings (artist/artist vs. artist/writer vs. writer/writer).⭑ Things come up, life happens… let your mods know! Despite this being a free digital zine, we want to make the best zine that we can, and that requires communication! If you need extra time or need to drop out, please let us know as soon as possible!⭑ Mods reserve the right to dismiss contributors at any time for violating guidelines.

Q: What is a zine?
A: A zine (short for magazine/fanzine) is an unofficial publication produced by fans surrounding a specific theme. It usually includes illustrations, fan merch, and writing to make a physical or digital book.Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Participants must be at least 14+ years old by the time the applications close.Q: Do I need experience to apply?
A: We want this to be accessible to beginners as well as people with experience, so no zine experience is required (but if you have experience, that’s great, too!). All that we require is at least one complete sample of your work!Q: Can I apply for multiple roles?
A: You can apply for multiple roles, but you’ll only be chosen to do one of them.Q: Are AUs/Ships allowed?
A: AUs that mostly align with canon are allowed, but will be up to mod approval. Shipping, both canon and non-canon, are allowed, barring any incestuous and pedophilic pairings. These will result in immediate rejection or removal from the project without hesitation.Q: Is gore/violence allowed?
A: Ace Attorney-level depictions of violence are permitted, but may be subject to mod approval. Contributors will be expected to provide content warnings in their application or within the server as needed.Q: Will this zine contain spoilers?
A: This zine will contain spoilers for AA4-AA6 due to the pervasive nature of the Gramarye story within the entire Apollo Justice trilogy.Q: Can my piece include characters not in Troupe Gramarye?
A: Yes! While you must maintain focus on at least one Troupe Gramarye member, including the main Gramarye trio, Magnifi, Trucy, and Mr. Reus, you may also include extended relationships, including the Justice and Wright families, or any other character. As long as the piece still centers their existence within the context of the Troupe!
We understand the love for fandom-favorite characters and pairings, but we also want to branch out from existing zine concepts (like sibling relationships and individual character studies) and focus on a more niche group of characters that get explored in depth less frequently!
